All around the world, at every moment, women, men, and children are fighting a fundamental battle to preserve endangered nature.
This exhibition is a meeting with endangered animals and their protectors who dedicate themselves to this immense task, often with non-existent resources.
It traces the work I have been doing for 18 years, in close collaboration with nature protectors, in Africa, Costa Rica, New Zealand, Australia, Madagascar, and France.
It illustrates the unwavering dedication of preservation actors, all remarkable and determined, without whom many of the species presented would be extinct today.
Beyond their beauty and rarity, all these species have something to teach and offer us.
They are our true wealth. These images are their voice.
The exhibition consists of large-format photographic prints that can be displayed outdoors and indoors, and large illustrated posters. Each photograph is accompanied by a panel presenting the species and its preservation program. Videos showcasing the work of protectors in the field and their interviews can also be projected.
The exhibition expands with each presentation, adding new endangered species and their protectors as I encounter them.
Initially presented at the ShowRoom Canon France in 2011 with the Jane Goodall Institute France, the exhibition was subsequently displayed at the 16th Arrondissement Town Hall in Paris (2012), the Photo Week in Les Pavillons-sous-Bois (2012), the Scène Watteau in Nogent-sur-Marne (2016), the headquarters of Saretec France (2016-2017), the headquarters of Canon France (2017-2018), the Domaine départemental de Montauger in Essonne (2021) with new indoor and outdoor photographs, and at the Spot-Nature Festival (2022).
My work would not have been possible without the help of all the protectors I have had the chance to meet and whom I am pleased to present here.
This exhibition was realized with the precious help of Bernard Thomas, Guy Dassonville, Alain Tombois, Thierry Prestat, Philippe Burban (Canon France), Denis-Pierre Guidot (Adobe Creative Cloud), Pascal Bourguignon – Déclic éditions (prints), Lorraine Auffray and Ghislaine Joubert (text revisions), Patrick Blin – Blin plus Blin (prints), Jean-Marc Courtier – Colorpix (prints), Les Moran (in the field), and for the opportunities and setups: Sébastien Laumond, Aurélie Fallon, Christian Maitre, Serge Joubert, Olivier Cazé, Luis Casiano, and the entire Géniale Nature team. Not to forget the phenomenal work of the festival volunteers!
