Kevin Evans is a true enthusiast, the most fervent defender of the Pateke, a beautiful brown teal endemic to New Zealand and highly endangered. He dedicates all his free time to its preservation while also being involved in numerous organizations that protect the endangered biodiversity of this archipelago.

Kevin was my very first New Zealand contact while I was preparing for my first trip at the end of 2010. He masterfully organized my initial journey so that I could meet nature protectors and share their stories. Thanks to him, I discovered a whole world of passionate individuals!
