I met Brian Kubicki in 2010 while preparing my second book on Costa Rica. This passionate self-taught expert has become a specialist in Costa Rican amphibians and has created a 49-hectare paradise for them in the heart of the Guayacán Rainforest Reserve. His unique center features two reserves that protect around fifty species of amphibians.

Brian assists the most threatened species in their reproduction, such as the Agalychnis lemur frogs, which are listed as Critically Endangered on the IUCN Red List.

Brian also conducts essential research for amphibian conservation and opens his reserve to the public to showcase this fascinating world.
